Martin Stables Training Center sold

Longtime Ocala-based trainers Carolina and Rob Webster recently closed on the purchase of 55 acres of Martin Stables South in Reddick, Florida, that includes a five-furlong dirt track and a half-mile turf course.

The Websters break, train, and rehabilitate horses for trainer Barclay Tagg and for longtime owners on the East Coast, in Chicago, and the Middle East.

Eddie Martin, owner of Martin Stables, purchased Marablue Farm in Reddick in 2005 to cater to an expanding stallion and breeding operation but had no long-term plans to operate a training division. The Websters previously leased the training operation.

Martin Stables South will retain approximately 285 acres it currently utilizes at the former Marablue site and at its Highway 25A location in Reddick.
