One day after Goldikova defeated three Group 1 winners to prevail in the Prix Rothschild (Fr-G1) at Deauville, trainer Freddie Head said a trip to the United States is in the plans for the French classic-placed three-year-old Anabaa filly.

A winner of four of seven starts for owners-breeders Alain and Gerard Wertheimer, Goldikova held off 2007 French classic winner Darjina by a half-length to win the 1,600-meter (7.95-furlong) Prix Rothschild. Goldikova also defeated English classic winner Natagora and Group 1 winner Nahoodh while covering the distance in 1:37.50 on soft turf.

"The Wertheimers had the choice. They said they wanted to go to America for the Breeders' Cup, and they didn't want her to run too many times," Head told Racing Post.

Head said there are three races on the Breeders’ Cup card that Goldikova could contest—the 1 3/8-mile Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1), the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1), and the 1 1/8-mile Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (G1).

Runner-up in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (Fr-G1) (French One Thousand Guineas) and third in the Prix de Diane (Fr-G1) (French Oaks), Goldikova likely will make her next start in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp (Fr-G1) on September 7 at Longchamp.

"I'm very happy with her, she has come out of the race well," Head told Racing Post on Monday.

"We tried her over further in the Prix de Diane, but she shows so much speed that I think we'll keep her to a mile. We are looking at the Breeders' Cup for her, and we have different options. There is the Distaff race, the Filly and Mare Turf, or the Mile. We will see, but she will stick to a mile in Europe. She is very fast. I wouldn't be afraid of running her over six furlongs."
