Display Advertising Sales Representative - Hobby Farms

Hobby Farms Magazine, a rural lifestyle magazine is seeking a Display Advertising Sales Representative in our Lexington, Ky., office. We require a proven sales track record, a stable work history and a strong desire to succeed. We offer a salary that reflects your experience, an incentive plan that rewards your performance, and benefits tailored to your needs. Managing Editor

Full-time, Managing Editor needed for bimonthly rural lifestyle magazine in Lexington, Ky. Candidate must have a minimum of three years experience in an editorial position; a Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or related field; and be detail-oriented. Ideal candidate will have experience with QuarkXPress; and must thrive in deadline-driven environment and be willing to stay abreast of industry trends. Excellent research skills are a must. Knowledge of farming, livestock and agriculture industry is preferred. Photography experience a plus.

Advertising Account Executive

Thoroughbred Times is seeking a highly motivated Advertising Account Executive to join its sales team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of outside sales experience (preferably in a publishing environment) with a proven ability to both create and maintain profitable relationships with new and existing clients. Minimum travel requirement is 25-50%. Knowledge of the Thoroughbred industry is a plus, as well as the desire to stay abreast of industry news. Advertising Account Executive must also be able to flourish in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Thoroughbred Times is currently offering a paid IT internship that will offer insight into various areas of both the information technology and publishing industry. Ideal candidates will be a high school graduate or enrolled at a college/university that have previous exposure to and experience with computer hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting. Our internship program strives to place students in jobs that are directly related to their field of study, therefore offering each student valuable, hands-on experience for future career placement.
