Zong to stand in Massachusetts

Zong, a full brother to Grade 2 winner Half Ours, will stand in 2010 at Ken Posco’s newly established New England Stallion Station in Massachusetts for a fee of $2,000.

Zong, by Unbridledout of the Storm Cat mare Zing, sold for $1.7-million at the 2005 Keeneland November mixed sale, tying for the highest-priced weanling to sell at public auction in North America that year.

Zong made one start, finishing sixth in a maiden special weight race at Belmont Park on June 7, 2008. He was trained by Todd Pletcher for Aaron and Marie Jones.

“Zong has a royal pedigree with his three full brothers selling for $6.1-million, $2.6-million, and $1.15-million and his dam selling for $3.6-million,” Posco said. “I am fortunate to have a horse with one of the best bloodlines in the country. He will get the attention of all the breeders in Massachusetts.”
