Chitoz to Eureka Thoroughbred Farm in Texas
Stakes winner Chitoz has been retired and will stand the 2010 season at Mike Grossman’s Eureka Thoroughbred Farm in Fredericksburg, Texas. He will stand for a $1,500 fee.
Chitoz, a four-year-old Forest Wildcat colt out of the winning Affirmed mare Wichitoz, won three of 17 career starts, including the 2008 Anderson Fowler Stakes, and earned $160,931.
Chitoz’s grandam, Ruby Slippers, produced 1992 champion sprinter Rubiano and Grade 1 winner and sire Tapit. Other notable family members include Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Summer Bird.
